CARE & SUSTAINABILITY

CARE, MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIR
Each garment requires care to stand the test of time. A few simple steps can help preserve materials, reduce wear, and extend a piece’s life expectancy. We share our maintenance tips here, along with the options we offer to mend, repair, and prolong the use of each item.

CARE
Wool sweaters
Hand wash in lukewarm water (below 86 °F) with a suitable detergent.
Soak for about ten minutes without rubbing. Gently press out excess water—do not wring.
Lay flat on a towel, roll to absorb moisture, and repeat if needed.
Dry flat, placing the sweater on a towel on a drying rack.
Cotton and linen fabrics
Machine wash at 104 °F (40 °C), spin at 800 rpm.
Iron on medium heat (two dots).

MAINTENANCE
Against moths
Place a bar of Marseille soap or a few drops of lavender essential oil in your closet.
In summer, store sweaters in airtight bags with lavender sachets.
Folding and storing
To avoid distortion, wool sweaters should never be hung but folded and stored flat in a closet.
Canvas garments can be stored on hangers after ironing.
Wool care
Wool needs minimal washing. Like the sheep it comes from, it simply benefits from being aired out. Hanging a sweater by a window for a few hours is often enough to freshen it.
The denser and tighter the knit, the less care it needs. Looser knits are more prone to pilling due to friction. In this case, regular washing helps tighten the fibers and reduce wear.
Pills can be removed by hand or with a wool comb.

REPAIR
Mending
Upon request, we provide repair kits to mend damaged knits. We also offer a reknitting service in our workshop, done by hand, available for 50 euros.
